Just the other day, I heard a conversation...."She is quite bold"..The phrase always raises eyebrows..It made me think why do we take this word always in a negative sense?
Isn't being Bold being open about one's feelings,thoughts,opinions...
Isn't being Bold being aware about one's desires, be it physical,mental,emotional...
Isn't being Bold being confident & honest with oneself...
Isn't being bold being independent and self-reliant..
Isn't being Bold being capable of expressing oneself freely...
Isn't being Bold being conscious of one's decisions and reactions..
Isn't being Bold being aware of one's strengths & weakness...
Isn't being Bold being strong enough to accept one's own mistakes..
Isn't being Bold being in control of one's life..
Isn't being Bold being in love with oneself...
If all this is really being Bold, then Bold is indeed Beautiful and we should be Bold enough to say that..

I totally agree with u sis. But the problem is not what 'being bold' means, its how we react to the word 'Bold'. Our society, since its birth, is based on not strongly expressing one's views, feelings etc. in public.And we need a lot of time to come out of that closet...But believe me ,'It is happening.'
